About Character Projects Vintage Lighting & Hardware

Here at Character Projects we’re passionate about historic preservation, restoration, and architectural salvage, and the way that character details can play a role in creating truly inspiring spaces. We love to breath new life into old artifacts, and see ourselves as caretakers of each object until it’s passed on to its new home with you.

We specialize in unique items with striking aesthetic elements, with an emphasis on bare bulb period lighting, ornate door hardware, and matched sets that can help transform entire homes or larger spaces into distinctive places. Adding character elements to your home or commercial space is one of the best ways to improve the design sensibility and add value, and nothing makes us happier than helping you to make your space a more beautiful and inspired place to be.

All of our vintage lighting and hardware is restored down to the raw metallic finish or comes with a painted finish, unless otherwise noted. All lighting has been rewired, and comes fully tested and complete with mounting hardware ready to install, unless otherwise noted.
